Teaching English

• 2 to 3 hours per day (4:00 PM – 7:00 PM)

• Teach basic English: numbers, letters, simple conversations

• Requires intermediate-level English

• Volunteering takes place in 3 local favelas; transportation is provided by the program

Football Coaching

• Coach and guide kids and youth from the neighborhood

• Encourage sportsmanship and energy ⚽

• Shared housing with volunteers from around the world

The volunteering location is in Vidigal, a vibrant favela (community) in Rio de Janeiro, overlooking the ocean and full of energy and community spirit.

✈️ Getting to Brazil:

You can fly into either of Rio’s main airports:

1. Galeão International Airport (GIG)

2. Santos Dumont Airport (SDU)

Both airports serve the same city. Choose the most convenient or affordable one.

• Once you arrive, download and register on the Uber app.

• Use Uber or a taxi to reach:
  Praça do Vidigal
  (This is the main square at the entrance of the favela and the meetup point)

• From Praça do Vidigal, the local hosts/team will greet you and guide you to your guesthouse.

• No need to pre-book internal transportation—Uber and taxis are easy to use from the airport
• Make sure you have internet or a local SIM/eSIM active so you can request rides
• After registration, you’ll receive all the detailed info from us and your host. We’ll stay in close contact to ensure smooth arrival
